The Man Behind the Kilt
The era of kilts started in the early 19th century with the Scotish men. This costume was a way for men to express themselves other than wearing pants. In today's society kilts are slowly coming back. With men like Marc Jacobs and Kayne West taking risk to wear them, men are slowly emerging them into there style. It was recorded in a source that Marc Jacbs has added a kilt to his everyday style. This piece is considered a little controversional. A lot of people feel that the only people wearing "skirts" or kilts, as they should be called, should be women but why. This piece was designed exactly for men, there is a difference in a man wearing a kilt and a skirt. The common trend is the emerging of men's and women's style into each other. Every designer is starting to emerge into unisex clothing so why would a kilt be unheard of. I feel men, suh as Kayne West, taking a great risk in daring to wear something such as this proves that men do want to try things but it just takes the right kind of man.
